The product does exactly what it promises - mixing in your kitchenaid without having to scrape down the bowl - a definite must have for any baker. Worked well with both cake and cookie mixes. Contemplating purchasing a second one for the holiday with all the Christmas cookies I need to make!

I'm sure you've seen reviews stating this, but after almost a year of having a beater blade attachment for my Kitchen-Aid I consistently use my nice stand mixer more than I did before. Being a busy mom I just didn't want to deal with attachments I couldn't wash in my dishwasher--so I was constantly making things with my cheap hand mixer while my Kitchen-Aid collected dust. It's great for cake batters and even those stiff cookie doughs. Yes, it can throw flour into the air. The solution for this is to push the speed control back a few times quickly to get a sort of "pulse" action until the dry ingredients are slighly incorporated, then turn up to 1, then up to the mixing speed required. Just takes a few tries to get the hang of using it and unlike my Kitchen-Aid paddle it's not chipped from mixing nuts into cookie dough. Now if I only had an extra mixing bowl...

Even with adjusting the tilt on my Artisan Kitchenaid, it still jumps and bumps a lot. Overall it did scrape down the sides pretty well, so I am satisfied with my purchase. Prime shipping was super quick which was great because I intend on doing a lot of baking for the holidays.

Now here is an item that is long overdue. This beater blade solves so many problems in the kitchen. I've always had trouble with the ingredients at the bottom of the bowl that did not get mixed in. This blade fixed that problem!

Beater does well in terms of making cleaning sweep of bowl. Maybe too well because it is not exact fit with our bowl and has left rub marks.
