works as advertised. great non-stick. Only be sure your stove top arrangement can handle this over-sized griddle! You really need a stove designed for this.
 Some PROS and CONS Sep 05, 2025
The griddle finish is good. The handles can get too hot to handle though, which is bad when trying to move it when it's full of hot grease. You don't want to be struggling with pads and mitts at a time like that. I noticed that the handle in the back, next to the wall where air circulation wasn't as good as in the front was the one that got too hot to handle barehanded. TAKE NOTE: The bottom IS NOT FLAT! Probably a good thing for burners, but not so good for flat tops. Mine is a flat top stove and it did work, but took a long time to reach proper heat. Heat was not distributed all the way out to the sides. The heated area, or the area that was heated enough to cook the bacon, stopped just shy of the grease trench along the sides. So while it would seem you have an adequate cooking area, it's really rather smaller than I would like and tended to be much hotter immediately over the two burners which left portions of the food not cooking as fast as other parts. A strip of bacon, for example, cooked in the middle but both ends were still raw. All in all it's better than no griddle, but I'm not entirely satisfied.

This is the perfect pan for family breakfasts. The nonstick surface works terrific, it fits over two gas burners easily, and the low gas settings heat the pan evenly. Easy to clean. I also purchased two additional Calphalon One Nonstick pans. My wife is in love with them. We have been together for 10 years and she has never once commented on one of my pans. These pans really impressed her.

Good for Cooking for a Large Group Apr 05, 2025
Made to typical high Calphalon quality standards, this griddle works well on our smooth top stove, but would likely work better had we "bridge" elements between the main elements. Thus, there are spots on the griddle that get hotter than others. Some cooks may find this desirable.
I would prefer that it be long enough to fit side-to side across the stove over cooking elements. To completely cover two elements, it has to be placed front-to-back.
