 awesome paring knife! Jun 25, 2025
our other paring knife is a Henckel professional. The Kyocera is definitely sharper, even after we sharpen the Henckel. Both are good paring knives, yet my husband and I both prefer the Kyocera. This is our only ceramic knife and we would recommend it to anyone. (actually, we gave it as a gift to a good friend who is a chef, and he also loves it) It looks super cool, too! :)
I rated it 4 out of 5 b/c our friend's knife broke at the handle when he was cutting Brussels sprouts. (Amazon was quick to exchange it)

 Somewhat disappointing Mar 01, 2025
Having used the earlier version of the Kyocera ceramic knife, I was eager to try this advertised sharper and more durable version. While it is a good knife, it isn't appreciably better than my old version, which is in need of sharpening.
I'm not sure whether all of the Kyotops are like this, or whether mine was a second. I bought it as new, but not in the original box.
