I love the color. I had a blue one that the lid broke when I dropped it. These are so cute. I had to replace it! I use mine for a butter dish. At 19$ it is rather a luxury item, but it's also a good conversation piece. Like another review said, it's disappointing that it is actually made in China though!

Having read the reviews, I was a little worried about ordering the red one. Those reviews seemed to be a few years old so, I hoped the problem had been fixed and took a chance. It arrived yesterday and really was red. Like so many others, I plan to use it for salt on the counter. It's tiny size and cover are a plus for this.

Bought these as a gift to complement the large Dutch oven sized Le Creuset pot of the same color. They are well-made, though it's important to note they're stoneware and not made of metal like the big pots. They are small--perfect for an individual mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, or a souffle. Our next plan is to use them for French Onion Soup. As other reviewers noted, they are not made in France as other Le Creuset pots. I think their quality is just fine, however.

I'm not sure why some people are surprised by the size of this casserole dish--the dimensions are right on the Amazon page!
Anyway, I was looking for something exactly like this--size and all-- for my coffee/tea station. I already had a cream pitcher (well actually 2 since my first 1 cracked and is held together by super glue) and a sugar bowl. I wanted a little container for holding artificial sweetner packets and this was perfect! It matched what I had on the counter already.
And since I use my Amazon CC for my purchases, I quickly accumulated plenty of $25 Amazon gift certificates to use so I wasn't too concerned with the price.

I bought this for a salt dish! Its the perfect size! Its so small & cute. Yes I think that its a little on the expensive side but I am in love with all le creuset products & just had to have it. The kiwi color goes great in my kitchen & goes great with my Rachael Ray things too!
