The mango splitter is MARVELOUS! My granddaughter loves mangos but I've always hated peeling/cutting them because of the huge pit - and if you do it wrong the fruit is "stringy". This splitter works like a dream; it pits the fruit in seconds making it very easy to peel and serve. Now we can enjoy this delicious fruit effortlessly whenever we want! Thanks much.

To make this work at its best, slice the end off the mango to expose the orientation of the pit. Orient the football-shaped center so that it will fit around the pit. If your mango is really ripe, score down the sides of the mango just through the skin. Push down with the slicer and VOILá! You have 2 halves of tasty mango that can easily be scooped out or eaten by hand! I love this thing.

Not too successful. The cutter should have a movable blade to accomodate larger Mango's with the large pits. It will likely work fine on the smaller yellow mangos and other small pitted fruit.

I never imagined this thing would actually work, but this little gadget is amazing! If you eat mango, this is well worth the purchase. Love it!

It's still messy and not all together efficient, but it is SO much easier than any other method for taking the meat off the core of a mango that I know of. I eat so many more mangos because of this device!
