5Great gadget!  May 30, 2025
The Oxo Good Grips Slim Nut/Seafood Cracker is solid and useful. Glad I gave it a chance to make a big difference in the kitchen!

1DISAPPOINTED  Apr 04, 2025
I wanted to like this thing; I really did. But, simply put...I don't like the device. I don't expect to crack any seafood any time soon & it really seems more suited for seafood cracking. I just wanted something more sturdy for the nuts but this thing is just "too much" apparatus for nuts. I found it to be rather awkward to use and it's kind of heavy. I make do with it but I miss the other traditional type of nut cracker only they tend to break at some point. Oh, well.

A bit too rough on some nuts you have to be gentle. But seems sturdy and like it will last a long time.

if I have to say something bad, a little bit heavy but still handy

4Nut cracker  Nov 05, 2025
I use this to crack walnuts. It works pretty well although a few times I shot the shell halfway across the room...but that seems to happen with a lot of the nut crackers. I have not yet tried it on crab claws. It works well with nuts though.
