5Looks and performs great a year later  Oct 01, 2025
One of my primary considerations in a 10" fry pan was not just that the manufacturer said it could go in the dishwasher, but if it would actually hold up in the dishwasher. This one has done so beautifully over fifty or so washes (we use the Method dishwashing pods and our house water is extremely hot and then heated up more by the d/w). This pan can take the heat on the stove, too. I forgot it once while preheating and it didn't show any problems. In fact, the pan handle and the inside look pretty much like they did when it came out of the box a year or so ago. My only very small quibble is that the sides aren't very high, small because it isn't a saute pan, where higher sides would be expected for stir frying large amounts of vegetables, etc. With a little butter this pan does eggs fine. I usually cook our bacon, lower the heat, wipe out the pan with a paper towel, and then cook the eggs. (Of course something like eggs is going to stick in a pan if you heat the heck out of it). A wonderful pan overall. It may not win any beauty contests against All Clad, but I do believe this is the superior pan performance-wise over time.

4After 2 years...  Aug 21, 2025
I made a single purchase of the 11" pan a little over two years so perhaps can offer a fairly objective view. This is the only non-stick pan I have in my kitchen as my other pans are stainless or anondized. As most cooks know a non-stick pan can be quite useful for certain foods/recipes and generally an essential in a well equipped kitchen. So after a couple of years a fairly heavy use I can recommend this pan. Heats up slowly but holds an even surface temp. Balance is excellent and I like the edge slope. Handle is cool to touch regardless of length of time on the stove (gas top). Clean-up is a simple wash with a nylon scrubby, well-rinsed and usually air dried. Non-stick surface has held up much better than previous pans of various costs and manufacturer. Regardless of the marketing hype I use nylon and wood utensils almost exclusively in this pan and use a paper towel when stacking in the cabinet. I have not experienced any carbon build-up and the pan performs after 2+ years as wellas the first use. In reading some of the more megative reviews regarding flaking, chemical composition and carbon buildup I can't speak to that. I did note that some folks mentioned running their pan through a dishwasher and that could be a contributing factor. I never run pans through the dishwasher as I don't think most people understand how harsh this can be on many pans, utensils, knives, etc. I know this seems counter-intutive for a pan considering how much heat and abuse they take in cooking but the hot water and corrosive chemicals in dishwashing detergent can take a toll over time on certain surfaces.

1Not as advertised  Jul 31, 2025
Consumer fraud? You be the judge...
So here we have a pan marketed as being made with diamonds that render the surface "indestructible." It's hyped up with cool-sounding technology jargon like "nano-composite." The manufacturer blatantly claims the product contains no Teflon whatsoever, and says the pan is safe for your health.

But what's the reality here? In reality:

- The nano-composite non-stick cooking surface is made primarily with PTFE, the chemical known as Teflon.
- The pan is marketed as a product that contains NO Teflon and is safe for your health.
- The non-stick surface scratches easily with a common fork.
Scratching the surface with a household fork causes microscopic bits of the composite material (PTFE and diamonds) to be released into the food being cooked, whereby they are swallowed by consumers.
- The marketing of Swiss Diamond cookware heavily emphasizes "diamonds" while seemingly going out of its way to avoid mentioning Teflon or PTFE chemicals. It appears to give consumers the impression that they are "cooking on diamonds."
Consumers are being widely misled into believing that this product is an alternative to Teflon when, in reality, it's made of the same thing as Teflon!

Swiss Diamond pans are being marketed by some of the best-known retailers and catalog companies in the world, including Amazon.com, NextTen catalog and hundreds of others.

To my knowledge, the FTC has taken no action against the Swiss Diamond company. Perhaps after reading this article, they will take a closer look. You can bet that the Swiss Diamond company will scramble to make immediate modifications to its website and product marketing materials, including its box. Once exposed, companies like this try to eliminate the evidence as quickly as possible and act like they were never engaged in any kind of deceptive marketing practices or product claims.
The most likely outcome of all this, of course, is that the Swiss Diamond company will threaten me with legal action for daring to go public with the truth about their products. But that's why I've backed up everything here with undeniable evidence, plus the support of half a million readers who would be quite interested in hearing more stories about a company that tried to attack NaturalNews for reporting the truth.

2stick pan  Feb 13, 2026
I purchased my first 10 inch swiss diamond pan in May 2007. It is now Feb 2010. I am on my second pan. I would say that the non-stick properties last about 12 months or so. The first was replaced under the lifetime warranty after about a year. I will probably send this in for replacement as well, since it is incredibly difficult to clean now (I have to soak it overnight to get rid of all the carbon residue). As a previous reviewer said, it builds up a layer of carbon that is impossible to remove.

I find that my calphalon pans are much cheaper, fare no worse and is easier to replace under warranty.

1Read other reviews before buying!  Aug 30, 2025
Google "Swiss Diamond Fraud" before you buy! They are made of the same stuff as Teflon! These are just overpriced non-stick pans.
