Better Than A Mandolin Slicer Jul 01, 2025 I have owned a mondolin slicer and found it frustating. I wanted something better and purchased this after reading the reviews. One reviewer complained about the sharp pin in the middle of the holder. This makes it perfect IMHO! It really grabs onto hard veggies like carrots. Nothing slides loose while grating or slicing.
It is really easy to snap the different blades in and out. This makes for easy cleanup. All of the parts nest together for a compact and neat storage.
Very happy I purchased this.

Excellent slicer/grater Oct 08, 2025 This is an ingenious slicer grater. Saves space in the drawer and multi-tasks. I've sliced onions paper thin. The handle only works if the item isn't too bulky or round, but hasn't presented a problem. Easy to use and clean. I've bought two now!

Zyliss Grater Sep 20, 2025 For compact use this rates a 4. However, for grating and slicing I find a hand held grater and knife still work better. The interchangable plates concept is terrific, however, the plastic knob used to hold the food under the sliding top (ie too be used to protect fingers)is useless. Unlike the pressure one uses when hand grating, the sliding plate and knob pressure is too great. Everything turns to mush. I find it easier to use this grater the old way. Manually. Just watch the fingers.. it is sharp.

Nice compact design Jan 17, 2026 I was skeptical when I received this slicer/grater, but it really does a nice job. There are two slicing blades, each with a snap on guard for storage, and two different graters. The different blades/graters are easily changed and cleaned. I do notice some staining of the white plastic by some vegetables (red cabbages, sweet potatoes), but that doesn't really bother me. Everything snaps together for storage, too, so you don't have to chase down attachments. A very nice kitchen product.
